Susan H. Thomas
CAMDEN, N.C.—Susan Juanita Holland Thomas, 60, died April 11, 2009, in her home.
Born in Fort Monroe, she was the daughter of the late Willie Morgan and Marjorie Matthews Holland.
Mrs. Thomas was a wonderful cook, had a great sense of humor and was devoted to her granddaughter and her many friends.
Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Thomas; a daughter, Stephanie Suzanne Jimenez of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Margaret Ann Owen of South Mills and Patricia Dianne Bateman of New Bern, N.C.; three brothers, William Michael Holland of Drewryville, Richard Stephen Holland of Port Orchard, Wash. and Jon Allen Holland of Virginia Beach; and a grandchild, Cali Brook Jimenez.
A funeral was held Tuesday in Swindell Funeral Chapel, Hertford, N.C., with the Rev. Gayla Collins officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Wood Cemetery.
