NORFOLK—Bertha Lee “Nanny” Lundy, 66, died April 4, 2009, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Ivor, she was a local business owner and a wonderful homemaker.
She was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church with Pastor Thomasin McClendon. She attended Norfolk Public Schools.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, James D. Lundy; three daughters, Belinda K. Thompson, Vickie Y. Swafford (Robert) and Lorrie Lundy; one son, George D. Lundy (Avis); two sisters, Thelma Glasper (Clint) and Frances Chambers; brothers, Johnnie Plummer; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her mother, Rosa Lee Plummer and her father, George Plummer.
A funeral was held Tuesday in Greater House of Faith Apostolic Church, Norfolk.
Burial was in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, was in charge of arrangements.
