Franklin police are reviewing security tape from J.P. King Middle School after a parent complained that her son was assaulted by a teacher there.

The incident allegedly occurred around noon Monday. The mother told police that a teacher grabbed her 14-year-old son by the shirt and slammed him up against a locker.

“We are in the process of reviewing video and obtaining statements,” Police Lt. Tim Whitt said.

No arrests have been made and the name of the teacher has not been released, he added.
