CHESAPEAKE—Vivian L. Steen, 88, died April 3, 2009.
A native of Elizabeth City, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Ruth and Paul Lawrence Sr. and the widow of Robert M. Steen Sr.
Mrs. Steen was a member of Glad Tidings Church.
Survivors include her three daughters, Gloria Davis-Gay and husband Joe of Windsor, Marian S. Pugh and husband Barry of Chesapeake and Denise S. Weis of Martinez, Calif.; a son, Robert M. Steen Jr. and wife Vicki of Kennewick, Wash.; a sister, Hilda I. Summers of Chesapeake; and a brother, Paul Lawrence and wife Pam of Richmond; five grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Jeff, Rose and Julia and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Reagan.
She was a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles and Ray Lawrence.
A funeral was conducted Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Qualls officiating.
The burial followed in Rosewood Memorial Park.
