Marie E. Bailey
WINDSOR—Marie E. Bailey died April 3, 2009, in Consulate Nursing Home.
She was born April 26, 1919. She worked on a farm and was a housekeeper in Williamsburg.
She was a member of St. Paul Holiness Church in Surry.
Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Elex Bailey.
Survivors include a son, William H. Blount (Marilyn) of Suffolk; a daughter, Valerie Hubbard (Roy Sr.) of Nathalie; a stepson, Harold Gay (Sheila) of Ivor; a stepdaughter, Mary Stringfield (Clarence) of Spring Grove; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; a host of step great-grandchildren; one devoted niece, Mandy L. King (Bernard); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon today at St. Paul Holiness Church, Surry, with the Rev. Ernest Greene, pastor, officiating.
The interment will be at the Bailey Family Cemetery.
The family will assemble at the home of the niece, Mandy Lea King, at 11:15 a.m., on the day of service.
