Candise M. Rich
CHESAPEAKE—Candise M. (Gregory) Rich, 58, died March 31, 2009, at home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born in Auburn, N.Y., Dec. 27, 1950. She worked for Greenbrier Property Owners Association and supported numerous local charities. Predeceased by her parents, Donald and Elizabeth Gregory, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., she leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 19 years, Franklin Rich; daughter, Kirsten and her fiancé Ryan Rife of Windsor; brothers, Donald (Kate) Gregory of Norfolk, Roger Gregory of Rochester, N.Y., Ben (Ann) Gregory of Bernhards Bay, N.Y., Rick (Linda) Gregory of Savannah, N.Y.; her sisters, Gloria Manns of Baldwinsville, N.Y., and Jan (Will) George of Newfane, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; her beloved pets, Roxie, Pepper and Sadie; plus many Rich family members. Candi and Frank were married May 5, 1990, in the presence of God at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Virginia Beach. We recognize Daughter’s Day on the 10th of May. Private services were held in her home by Pastor Lanny Smith from Great Bridge Church of Christ, Chesapeake, and the Rev. Deb Jenkins from Bon Secours Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Bon Secours Hospice.
