HAMPTON—Carol Jean Stevens, 75, born to the late Milo and Wilma Adair, died March 20, 2009, in Newport News.
She was a native of Davis City, Idaho; lived in Poquoson for 10 years and was a resident of Hampton for 24 years.
She worked as a print shop supervisor at Thomas Nelson Community College where she retired after 12 years of service.
She was the owner of CJ’s Tattoo Shop which is named after her.
Mrs. Stevens is preceded in death by one son, Michael V. Stevens.
Survivors include her beloved children, Gary Stevens of Hampton, Debra Shegogue of Hampton, Rhonda Kimes of Hampton, Angela Thomas of Dutton and Christina Bales of Windsor; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Adair of Springfield, Mo.; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Thursday in the chapel at Smith Brothers Funeral Home.
