CAMPBELL, Neb.—Phyllis C. Harris, 77, died March 19, 2009, at her home.
She was born Jan. 30, 1932, to Theodore R. and Helen I. (Brown) Suiter in Princeton, W.Va.
She graduated from Norview High School in Norfolk in 1949.
She married Ottis B. “Bill” Harris on April 21, 1950, in Norfolk.
She enjoyed many years of singing in the church choir at Community United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. They moved to Hastings from Virginia three-and-a-half years ago and to Campbell from Hastings two years ago.
Survivors include her husband, Bill of Campbell; one son, O.B. “Bill” III and his wife Jackie of Wakefield; two daughters, Cynthia Lewis and husband Ronald of Hastings of Nebraska and Pamela Cirilli and husband Tom of Suffolk; one brother, Roger Suiter and wife Sherrill of Charlotte, N.C.; five grandchildren, John Lewis and wife Rachel of Grand Island, Neb., Jessica Cirilli of Suffolk, Laura Harris of Ashburn, Matthew Cirilli of Suffolk, Kristy Lewis of Hastings; and one great-grandson, Colin Cirilli of Suffolk.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no viewing or visitation; the remains were cremated.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorials can be made to the Campbell Presbyterian Church.
