John A. Weiler Sr.
WINDSOR—John Albert Weiler Sr., 71, died March 18, 2009.
Mr. Weiler retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years, serving two tours in Vietnam.
He was a member of Charisma Victory Fellowship. He loved the Lord, people, especially children and animals. John was a generous, loving man who touched many people’s lives.
He was predeceased by his father, John Albert Weiler.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margaret Eva Weiler; mother, Hendrekia Weiler; son, John A. Weiler III and his wife Anna of Elizabeth City, N.C.; daughter, Margaret Campbell and husband James of Windsor; five siblings, Raymond, Nancy, Lois, Sandy and Alice Mary; and four grandchildren, Jeremy, Timothy, Brittany and Justin.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
Memorial contributions may be made to a POW/MIA charity in his name.
