Ethel O. Newby
IVOR—Ethel Olivet “Tis” Newby, died March 19, 2009, at her home.
She was born on June 17, 1928, to the late Righteous and Ethel Newby.
Survivors include two brothers, Nathaniel Newby of Ivor and Vernon Newby (Elizabeth) of Wakefield; a sister, Barbara Moton (Roger) of Surry; an aunt, Ruth Pretlow of Elberon; seven nephews, three nieces and a host of other great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Cypress Baptist Church, Elberon with the Rev. P. D. Wells, officiating.
Interment will be in the Church Cemetery.
She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are being handled by Poole’s Funeral Home.
