Citizens now only feel fear and uncertainty, he says

To the Editor:

Growing up I had a sense of assurance of living in the greatest country on earth. We have been through revolution, civil war, economic depression, world wars and turned such from travesties into accomplishments.

In my lifetime, I have never felt the fear and uncertainty of our nation’s future as I feel today.

We are in complete absence of common sense aspects of fiscal policy. How did we get here?

We got here by spending money we do not have and transferring debt to future generations.

I remember having to save nickels and dimes to get that sought-after toy. Still not enough money? Well, I had to wait and do extra chores to gain more. Now we push spending initiatives that the coffers can not cover.

We basically write IOUs to ourselves. This will not work. There are no free lunches. Wake up, America.

Write your local, state or national representatives to get back on track before history echoes those immortal words … “Too late.”
