A 29-year-old Franklin man was busted on drug charges Friday at the Days Inn on Armory Drive.

Franklin detectives had been at the motel assisting Southampton County deputies with another arrest when they learned that possible drug activity was taking place in Room 108.

The occupant, Hamilton Bernell Warren, 29, of the 400 Block of South High Street, allowed officers to search the room.

“During the search, crack cocaine and marijuana were recovered,” Franklin Police Lt. Tim Whitt said in a press release Friday afternoon.

Det. Cpl. Frank Justus arrested Warren and charged him with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of marijuana.
