Robin Gibson
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Robin Dixon Gibson, 76, died March 15, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Gibson was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Hertford County, the daughter of the late Robert M. Dixon and Lillian Underwood Dixon.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph M. “Donald” Dixon and her former husband, John Gilbert Gibson Sr.
She was a retired registered nurse and had worked at Autumn Care in Rich Square for many years.
She was a member of Meherrin Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, John Gilbert Gibson Jr. and wife Jeannie of Murfreesboro; her daughters, Debora G. Turner and husband Allen of Como, N.C., Donna G. Woodard and husband Bobby of Murfreesboro, and Patricia R.G. Collupy and husband David of Williamsburg; and her brother, Robert M. “Jimmy” Dixon of Fairfield, Calif.; grandchildren are Adam Gibson and wife Shona, Andy Gibson, Rebecca Gibson, Kyle Glisson, Hannah Woodard and Tyler Turner; and a great-granddaughter, Selena Gibson; and a special caregiver, Vickie Parker, and her faithful companion, Saidy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Meherrin Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie McLawhorn officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Meherrin Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
