One year ago, the Franklin High School girls’ basketball team lost to Buffalo Gap in the Virginia High School League Group A Division 1 state championship game. On Thursday, the Lady Broncos will get their shot at revenge.

The two teams meet in the state semifinals at 11 a.m. at the Siegel Center in Richmond.

Buffalo Gap (22-3) defeated West Point in the tournament quarterfinals Saturday. Franklin (22-3) defeated Altavista on Saturday to earns its “Final Four” berth.

Tickets are $10 each. Advance tickets are being sold at FHS, which gets to keep a dollar for every ticket sold.

The winner will advance to Friday’s 2 p.m. championship game.
