Tidewater Academy’s bid for state title ends

PETERSBURG-Top-seeded Tidewater Academy lost Friday in the semifinals of the Virginia Independent Schools Division 3 state tournament, ending the Warriors’ bid for a state championship.
Tidewater lost 57-49 to Word of Life Christian Academy, the tournament’s No. 5 seed.
The Warriors ended the season with a 28-2 record.
