Virgil L. Williams
FRANKLIN—Virgil Lee “Bill” Williams, 85, formerly of Manassas and a resident of the Franklin area for the past 18 years, died Feb. 27, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Williams was born in West Virginia, a son of the late Angus Grady and Hannah Druzilla Ritchie Williams.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea and was a retired construction engineer for Verizon Telephone Company.
He was a lifetime member and former governor of Manassas Moose Lodge 1380.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Inez Traughber Williams; a daughter, Anne Marie Davinson and husband Roy of Manassas; a son, Grady Williams and wife Brandy of Franklin; four grandchildren, Lorraine M. Cline, Sherry Lynn Lumpkin, Kimberly M. Rhys, and Matthew Glennon; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted Tuesday at Lee Funeral Home, Manassas.
Interment followed at National Memorial Park, Falls Church.
