Franklin public schools have announced their 2008 Teachers of the Year, an honor bestowed on teachers by their colleagues.

S.P. Morton Elementary School named Kimberly Fresen as its Teacher of the Year. Fresen teaches fifth-grade math at the school.

Travis Felts, a health and physical education teacher, was chosen at Franklin High School, and Vanessa Collins, an art teacher, was honored at J.P. King Middle School.
