A budget training session originally scheduled for today has been moved to March 23 at 4 p.m.

City officials are encouraging citizens to attend the session in order to learn how to read a budget and to see what goes into creating a plan for city funds.

“We want this process to be as transparent as possible,” said interim City Manager June Fleming of Franklin’s fiscal 2010 budget preparation. “This training session will give citizens a chance to learn how to read a budget and understand the process a bit better.”
