Darrell T. Duck
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Darrell T. Duck, 49, of Franklin Drive, died Feb. 10, 2009, at Roanoke-Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
A native of Zuni,, he was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ in Windsor.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Duck was employed as a cook at the Old Country Buffet in Virginia.
Survivors include five brothers, Morris Duck and Roscoe Duck, both of Zuni, Jeffrey Duck of Franklin, John Ruffin of Arizona and Glenn Ruffin of Smithfield; and five sisters, Barbara Harrison of Richmond, Renee Jennings of Zuni, Wanda Walters of Hampton, Cassandra White of Franklin and Mary Holloman of Ivor.
Funeral services were Thursday at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square, N.C., with the Rev. Gregory Gilliam officiating.
Burial was at the Albert C. Horton Jr. Memorial Veteran Cemetery at Hampton Roads in Suffolk.
Wilder’s Funeral Home Inc., Rich Square, was in charge of the arrangements.
