Gary L. Gray
IVOR—Gary L. Gray, 42, of the 10000 block of New Road, died Feb. 3, 2009, in a Suffolk hospital.
He was a native of Norfolk, grew up in Chesapeake and has lived in Ivor for the last 15 years.
Mr. Gray was the son of the late Ross C. Gray.
He was a hunter, dog lover and friend and was employed with East Coast Fire Protection.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Cheryl Gray of Ivor; his daughter, Amanda; his mother, Diane Gray; his sisters, Teresa, Lisa, Shelly and Brenda; his brother, Donald; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all their friends in Ivor including Lewis Coats who was like his father next door and his wife Barbara, his friends at EMC and coworkers for all their support during his illness.
A memorial service will be held today at 5 p.m. in the Chesapeake Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. The family will receive friends in the funeral home following the service.
