PORTSMOUTH—Ellen Williams, 72, formerly of the 100 block of Allard Road, died Jan. 29, 2009.
She was born May 3, 1936, in Southampton County, to the late Rev. Peter and Lillie Boykins.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Russell H. Scott and her second husband, Felton Williams.
Mrs. Williams retired from Autumn Care and was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Skinner of Portsmouth, Angela Scott of Chesapeake, Cynthia Frazer and Veronica Kelly, both of Norfolk; and two sons, Russell Scott of Portsmouth and Nathan Scott of Chesapeake; a sister, Floyd Mae Holley of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a devoted brother-in-law, Charles Scott; eight sister-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life was held Thursday in St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Portsmouth. Bishop Curtis Edmonds officiated.
Steele-Bullock Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
