RAPID CITY, S.D.—Jewell Constance “Connie” Nuttall-Johnson, 71, formerly of Williamsburg, died Jan. 28, 2009, at Rapid City Regional Hospice House, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Gloucester, Va., on Nov. 25, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Crewe Nuttall.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Don Johnson SMSgt, USAF, Ret. of Rapid City, S.D.; children, William “Billy” Morris and wife Sheila of Croaker, Jackie Lemons and husband Gary of Ronceverte, W.Va., Michael Morris and wife Angela of Williamsburg and Sharon Pitts-Buehner of Franklin; and her sister, Linda N. Bull and husband Bert of Williamsburg; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and a host of friends.
She was a member of the Army Air Force exchange service for 24 years.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Rapid City Cancer Care Institute or Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
A graveside service with military honors was held Monday at the Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D.
