How’s business? Growing and rewarding. Our annual raffle (Feb. 6 at 6 p.m.) is our biggest event of the year

One thing you wish everyone knew about your organization: We do a lot nationwide and in the community. We gave away 60 turkeys to needy families at Thanksgiving in 2008, as well as 75 meals given at Christmas to Newsoms Baptist Church.

Something you offer that a customer won’t find elsewhere: Fun, friendship and a rewarding experience. We offer a broad range of ways to give back to the community, from scholarships to improving wildlife habitat.

Advice to young entrepreneurs: Work hard at what you believe in, whether it’s a paid or volunteered position.

Your first job: Chairman of our 2003 banquet within the NWTF. At 18 years old I was washing cars and pumping gas at a local Newsoms station (Red Worrell’s Service Station).

Your role model (in business or in life generally): Grandfather, uncle and dad. They were all honest and family men.

The key to a successful business is: Believe in what you do and treat people with respect.
