George T. Cutler
NEWSOMS—George Thomas Cutler of Mary Hunt Road, died Jan. 7, 2009, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 21, 1922, to the late Milton and Ronnie Britt Cutler in Southampton County.
Mr. Cutler was a former truck driver and also served his country in the United States Navy.
Many years ago, he became a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church where he served on the Trustee Board and the Usher Board.
Survivors include one sister, Susie Peek; nieces and nephews, Nina Greene, Audrey Greene, Gloria Bynum, Curtis Greene, Charles Peek; great-nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
His life’s celebration will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, Newsoms, with the Rev. Jeremiah Cole, pastor, delivering the eulogy.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
