Lorraine B. Drew
NORFOLK—Lorraine Brickhouse “Rainie” Drew, 83, of South Norfolk, died Jan. 5, 2009.
A native of the Portlock/South Norfolk area, she was the widow of Harry Lester Drew Jr.
She owned H.L. Drew & Associates, an insurance agency that insured the Norfolk City Employees for more than 30 years.
Mrs. Drew was past president of Order Of The Eastern Star, Ocean View Chapter, and past president of The LaMace Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Halverson and her husband Scott F. Halverson of Franklin and Tammie Weitzman and her husband Dr. Douglas Weitzman of Suffolk; two sons, Neil Vincent Moretti of Virginia Beach and Harry Lester Drew III of Norfolk; her brother, John Milton Brickhouse Jr. and his wife Mary Louise of Virginia Beach; as well as 10 grandchildren who were the light of her life: Travis, Ryan, Brittany, Harry, Kay, Drew, Kristen, Kimberly, Keri Lucille and Kathleen. Her extended family includes Elizabeth and Sterling Harrell, Debra Charlton Wingfield and Barbea McCrary and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Glenn; her two sisters, Virginia O’Brian and Lois Davis; and her beloved husband, Harry.
A funeral will be conducted today at 10 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
