VIRGINIA BEACH—Breanne Candera Mason, 18, died Jan. 5, 2009.
She brightened all our lives — by way of a smile, the touch of her laughter and the overflowing love she always shared.
Living her life to the fullest, she graduated from Kellam High School in 2008 and was a freshman at Virginia Tech.
She always strived to better those around her.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Sandy M. and Michael F. Zalud; father and stepmother, John F. and Jean Mahon; her sister, Kirsten Mahon; her brother, Bryan Mahon, all of Virginia Beach; four stepsisters, Jordan Kirste and Brittany Zalud, both of Virginia Beach, Brooke Zalud of Richmond, Heather Evans and husband David of Keysville; her stepbrother, Trevor Kirste and wife Colleen of Branchville; her maternal grandfather, Harry Candera of Philadelphia, her maternal grandmother, Effie Mahon of Toms River, N.J.; her stepgrandparents, Bill and Nell Gray of Chesapeake; niece, Haleigh Grace Evans of Keysville and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Wave Church, 1000 N. Great Neck Road, by Carl Lentz, pastor.
The burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, today from 6 to 9 p.m.
