CONWAY, N.C.—Anita Ferguson Warrick, 51, died Jan. 2, 2009, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Southampton County, she was preceded in death by her father Lewis Ferguson Sr., and stepfather, James T. Porter.
A loving and caring wife and mother, she worked for over 15 years as a Food Stamp Caseworker II with the Northampton County Department of Social Services and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
She was best known as being a dear friend to everyone she met.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Bobby Glen Warrick Jr. of their home near Conway; two children, Jessica Lynn Warrick and Trevor Glen Warrick, also of their home; her mother, Frances Ferguson Porter of Boykins; and one brother, L.T. Ferguson of Severn, N.C.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Bethany United Methodist Church in Milwaukee, N.C. with the Rev. Sid Collins and Dr. Albert Wentzy presiding.
Burial followed in the Milwaukee Cemetery.
