Norman E. Babb
COURTLAND—Norman Edward Babb, 66, died Dec. 29, 2008.
He was born in Southampton County, and was predeceased by his father, Vernon David Babb and a sister, Nancy Babb Francis.
Mr. Babb was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church, an Army veteran, and a longtime employee in the roll finishing department of International Paper.
He was a member of the County Line Hunt Club.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peggy Glover Babb; two daughters, Becky Babb of Franklin and Janice B. Trump (Aaron) of Sedley; two sons, David E. Babb (Lisa) and Norman E. Babb Jr., all of Courtland; one grandchild, Katelyn Elizabeth Trump; his mother, Mildred Ricks Babb; a sister Janice B. Madron, both of Franklin; a brother, Vernon Tom Babb (Esther); a brother-in-law, Roy Francis all of Courtland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Barn Tavern Cemetery in Sebrell.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to a favorite charity.
