M. Riddick Worrell Jr.
NEWSOMS—Morris Riddick “Rick” Worrell Jr., 62, died Dec. 23, 2008.
A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Morris Riddick and Bernice Drake Worrell.
Mr. Worrell was retired from Hunterdale Service Center and was a member of Barnes United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Worrell; a son, Jamie Worrell; one grandson, Blake Turner; one brother, James “Jimmy” Franklin Worrell and wife, Jenny; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hollywood Cemetery in Newsoms with the Rev. Darwin Edwards officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to Barnes United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Betty Darden, 33701 Statesville Road, Newsoms, VA. 23874.
