LaFrance R. Reese SMITHFIELD—LaFrance R. ‘Sally’ Reese, 61, departed this life Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, she attended Isle of Wight Training School, was a member of First Gravel Hill Baptist Church and was employed by Smithfield Packing until her health began to fail.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Pamela Reese; granddaughter, LaFreda Whitehead; her mother, Margaret R. Tynes; three sisters, Florine Burrell (Willie), Maggie Lias and Loretta Johnson; a brother, Leroy Pierce (Brenda); four aunts, Doris Bowser (William), Estelle Parson (Raymond), Lucille Elliott and Iantha Reese; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at First Gravel Hill Baptist Church with Dr. G.G. Campbell Jr. and the Rev. Bobby Bowser, officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Viewing from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Church.
