Colin G. White
SUFFOLK—Colin G. “Porky” White, 65, died Dec. 19, 2008.
He was predeceased by his father, Joe White. Porky was employed by A&P Tea Co. for 23 years as store manager. He was employed for 23 years at Narricott Industries in Boykins, Va., retiring as plant manager in 2004. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church; charter member of Commonwealth Chorus; he served as a girls’ softball coach for Holland Athletic Association and was on the P.D. Camp workforce Advisory Committee.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Connie Gayle White; his daughter, Kristi White Dubois of Hilton Head, S.C. and her husband Joe; a grandson, Aedan Grant Dubois, who was the joy of his life; his mother, Grace Ward White; a sister, Bettie W. Pierce; his brothers, Robert N. White and wife Anne, Elbert W. White and wife Betty of Charlottesville, Joseph G. White and wife Carmen of Grundy and Clifton A. White of Norfolk.
A funeral was held Monday in Harrell & Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
