Willie C. Green
SMITHFIELD—Willie Clark Green, 88, died Dec. 14, 2008, at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News.
A lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, she received Christ as her savior at an early age and joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.
She lived her life with a quiet dignity, believed in being compassionate to others, and shared the scriptures.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Green; her son, Benjamin Franklin Green; parents, Willie and Gracie Clark; sisters, Eunice Hall, Iva Wooden, Ernestine Clark and Mildred Clark; and a brother, Clinton Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A funeral service was to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Ivor.
Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge of arrangements. The family was to assemble at the funeral home at noon on Saturday to proceed to the church.
