Austin J. Carroll
SUFFOLK—Austin James Carroll, 19, died Dec. 19, 2008.
Austin, an 11th grade student at Lakeland High School, was also a student at Pruden Vo-Tech Center studying building trades. He had an appreciation and enthusiasm for life and enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and skateboarding.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth Lee Carroll Sr. and Michelle Young Carroll; three brothers, Kenneth Lee Carroll Jr. of Suffolk and Nick and Jordan Carroll, both of Windsor; maternal grandparents, James Young and wife Darlene of Suffolk; paternal great-grandfather, Paul D. Young of Virginia Beach; two aunts, Lori Carroll of Virginia Beach and Sarah Bates of Carryville, Tenn.; three uncles Robert Carroll and Marvin Carroll Jr. of Virginia Beach and Paul Young of Suffolk and many other cousins, relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Marvin R. and Ruth Virginia Carroll.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Bethel Assembly of God, Beale’s Corner, Suffolk, with the Rev. T.R. King officiating.
