CHESAPEAKE—Bobby L. Parker of the 1200 block of Sir Galahad Drive died Dec. 17, 2008.
Born in Franklin, he was the owner of Bobby’s Lawn Care.
Mr. Parker retired from the Norfolk Naval Base and the U.S. Army.
He received various educational and military certificates.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Parker of Chesapeake; two daughters, Nichelle Sykes of Norfolk and Kalena Mayfield (Vernon) of Newsoms; one sister, Beverly Mann (Ernest); two brothers, Edward Parker (Luay) and Pernell Parker (Cynthia); five grandchildren, Dominique Hunley, Charlayna Sykes, Akira Mitchell, Verrell Mayfield and Omarion Mayfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held Saturday at noon in Saint Stephens COGIC with Bishop Ted Thomas Sr. as the presiding clergy.
Burial will be held in Saints Rest Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk chapel, is in charge.
