CHESAPEAKE—Delliah Mae Satterfield, 80, of the 1900 block of Lemonwood Road, died Dec. 12, 2008, in Chesapeake Health Care.
She was born July 10, 1928, to the late Lucion and Daisy Mae Williams in South Mills, N.C. “Lottie Mae,” as she was known, was a former member of Christ Cathedral and Mt. Olive COGIC where she was a choir member, usher and pastor’s aide.
She was currently a member of Better Life Ministries COGIC. She was predeceased by a son, Howard Satterfield Jr. and a daughter, Frances Mae Satterfield.
Survivors include her husband, Howard L. Satterfield Sr.; eight daughters, Julia Williams, Mildred Prostell, Velma McNair (Duane), Virginia Holt, all of Chesapeake, Vivian Satterfield, Renee Satterfield, both of Norfolk, Lorraine Leach of Portsmouth and Marvelette Cason (Raymond) of Virginia Beach; four sons, Clinton Satterfield (Terry), Vincent Satterfield of Norfolk, Stanley Satterfield (Eleanor) of Chesapeake and Lavonne Satterfield (Patricia) of Courtland; two brothers, Lessel Williams of Fredericksburg and George Williams of Norfolk; 51 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 120 W. Berkley Ave. Elder Duane S. McNair Sr. will officiate.
Interment will be at Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
Family and friends will assemble at 810 Aston Place one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel.
