Great to be winners

Franklin has many reasons to toot its own horn today.

The community rallied and pulled off a successful Christmas parade on Saturday — no small feat considering the parade was in jeopardy of not happening just a few short weeks ago.

Thanks to the hard work of the intrepid Frank Davis, whose tank-you letter is published above, the event went off without a hitch. In fact, preliminary reports indicate that, despite the freezing temperatures and a lot of people leaving town for a championship football game, the parade was a success.

Add the fact that our Franklin High School football team won a state championship in Group A Division 1 and Franklin is riding high on a wave of good news.

Congratulations to both the Broncos and to the community for making Saturday a winning day for this city.

We are extremely proud of everyone involved.
