FRANKLIN—Dorothy Josephine Wiley, a former resident of Vienna and Culpeper, died Dec. 8, 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Rainey and Josephine Lee Keys Poole and the widow of Harlan Granville Wiley.
Mrs. Wiley was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She was the founder of the Christian Woman’s Club of Culpeper and was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith D. Horton and husband the Rev. Henry Horton of Waco, Texas; a son, the Rev. Ronald L. Wiley and wife Elaine of Franklin; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Harlan Granville Wiley II.
A graveside funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, with Army Chaplain Major Will Horton officiating assisted by the Rev. Dr. Roger Crump.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to Sycamore Baptist Church, 31120 Sycamore Church Rd., Franklin, VA 23851.
