Rachel J. Crocker
COURTLAND—Rachel Jones Crocker, 94, died Nov. 23, 2008.
She was the widow of Crawley Crocker.
Mrs. Crocker was a retired teacher with the Southampton County school system.
She was a very active member of Bryant Baptist Church.
She served as Mother of the church, Sunday school teacher, vacation Bible school teacher, deaconess, member of the Missionary Circle, secretary of the Church Union and the Bethany Baptist Church Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Della Price (David); one son, Robert Crocker (Theresa); five grandchildren, Ali, Iben, Allen, Dean and LaMari; and four great-grandchildren, Amber, Jaden, Ashley and Ysabel.
A funeral was conducted Saturday in Bryant Baptist Church, Courtland, by the Rev. Johnnie Lyons.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
