Frances J. Makela
IVOR—Frances J. Makela, 85, did Nov. 26, 2008, at Riverside Convalescent Center in Smithfield.
Born in Menahga, Minn., Feb. 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arvid and Tekla Kinneunen Arola.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Eugene Makela; a daughter, Janice Makela; two daughters-in-law, Mary Makela of Ivor and Beverly Makela of Texas; four granddaughters; one grandson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sons, Richard Makela and Philp R. Makela.
A private service will be held in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
The family is being served by J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Purviance Chapel, in Wakefield.
