Calvin C. Holloman Jr.
IVOR—Calvin C. Holloman Jr., 47, of 36000 block of Atlantic Ave., died Nov. 28, 2008, at Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk.
He was born in Southampton County and was the son of Virginia Lee Holloman and the late Calvin Holloman Sr., and was also preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn Holloman.
Mr. Holloman attended Southampton High School and was employed by Gwaltney of Smithfield.
Survivors include one daughter, Lakisha Whitney of Ivor; his mother, Virginia Lee Holloman of Ivor; two grandchildren, Tyesha Brown and Travion Gray; three sisters, Barbara Holloman of Newport News, Juanita Holloman of Ivor and Jacqueline Warren of Smithfield; three brothers, Benjamin Holloman and Larry Holloman (Mary) of Ivor and Gregory Holloman of Waverly; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A celebration of life service was held Tuesday at Gilfield Baptist Church, Ivor, officiated by the Rev. Glenn Lyttle.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Crocker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
