Nannie D. Rhoney
ZUNI—Nannie Lou Deans Rhoney, 67, died Nov. 20, 2008.
Born on February 25, 1941 in Selma, NC she was the daughter the late Ohnie H. and Hattie Lucille Page Deans.
Mrs. Rhoney was an active member of Faith Baptist Church and served as church pianist for many years.
She also served in the Sunday School Department with the young people.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Larry Rhoney; five sons, Terry L. Rhoney, Theodore W. Rhoney and Troy H. Rhoney both of Zuni, Thomas G. Rhoney of Ivor and Timothy C. Rhoney of Chesapeake; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a brother in law, Wilbur J. Twine of Durham, N.C.; one niece and one nephew.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Faith Baptist Church in Waverly by the Rev. Lewis Lawson.
Christian committal will follow in Ivor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday at the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Wakefield from 3 to 5 p.m.
