Ivor centennial celebration was a great success

To the Editor:

As a native and a lifelong resident of the little town of Ivor, I felt both very proud and very humble as I recently attended their Centennial celebration.

The Ivor Town Council and the people who worked so diligently to make the day possible and successful, please accept my congratulations and thanks for a job well done. As Tom Saunders, the speaker of the day, said so well, “Long live the small towns of America.”

Surely there will be those who will “carry the torch” another 100 years and we’ll celebrate again in the year 2108.
