Otelia H. Barnes
COURTLAND—Otelia Hill Barnes, 76, of Washington Drive, died Nov. 17, 2008, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
On May 23, 1932, she was born to Samuel Guy and Fannie Branch Hill in Boykins.
For many years, she was married to Alexander Barnes Sr. and to this union one son was born.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Alexander Barnes Jr.
Her memory will live forever in the hearts of her granddaughter, Shankia S. Clark; one grandson, Kareem Smith; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hazel Grant, Essie Binns and Susie Worrell; nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and other relatives.
A homegoing service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 224 South Main Street, Franklin.
Burial will take place in Southview Cemetery.
