James W. Fenwrick
NEWPORT NEWS—James Willie Fenwrick died Nov. 14, 2008.
Mr. Fenwrick was born to the late James Cleveland and Lettie Smith Fenwrick in Isle of Wight County.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Hicks Fenwrick; six siblings; and stepson, Kenneth Hill.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Virginia Estelle Hill Fenwrick; his son, James V. Fenwrick (Shirley) of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; daughter, Adrene E. Clark of Chesapeake; two stepdaughters; brother, Robert S. Fenwrick (Ruby) of Baltimore, Md.; his aunt, Ada Collins of Bronx, N.Y.; and 14 grandchildren.
The family wishes to express great appreciation to his two dedicated caretakers, Gwen Lucas and Julia Henderson.
A funeral service will be held at noon today at Chapel Grove UCC Church, Windsor, with the Rev. Carlyle Church, pastor and officiator and the Rev. Dr. J. J. Ferguson, eulogist.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 126 Ash Ave., Newport News, and will assemble there the day of service by 10 a.m. for the procession to the church.
