Harvey D. Manley Sr.
CONWAY, N.C.—Harvey D. Manley Sr., 68, died Nov. 1, 2008, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
He was born on April 25, 1940 to the late James and Cora Emma Scott Manley in Northampton County.
Mr. Manley was a member of New Vision Ministries in Murfreesboro, N.C. He was a Deacon for more than 30 years.
He was Sunday School superintendent, head of the usher board, prison ministry and attended Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship.
Survivors include two sons, Harvey Manley Jr. of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Dwight Manley of Conway; two daughters, Chenetha M. Herbert of Conway and Chowaine M. Whitehead of Lunenberg; five brothers, James, Linza and John Manley all of Conway, Clarence Manley of Murfreesboro and Rommie Manley of Ahoskie, N.C.; three sisters, Irene Everette of Oak City, N.C., Lucille Branch and Willie Mae Walker, both of Murfreesboro and eight grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at Second Baptist Church Creeksville by Pastor Sandy Outlaw.
Burial was in the church cemetery.
