MURFREESBORO, NC.—Sylvia Louise Eure Forehand, 77, of the 400 block of East High St., died Oct. 30, 2008, in Guardian Care of Ahoskie.
Mrs. Forehand was born in Gates County, N.C., a daughter of the late Dewey Eure and Mittie Eure Miller.
She was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
She received her operating room technician license from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and worked for a while as an operating room technician, but spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil M. “Brother” Forehand Jr.; a daughter, Yvonne F. Warren and husband Junius of Murfreesboro; a son, Cecil M. “Mac” Forehand III and wife Karen of Rock Hill, S.C.; grandchildren, Jason Warren, Brad Warren, Thomas Forehand and Ashley Forehand; and a loving brother, Andy Melvin of Richmond; a special aunt, Polly Brady of Winton, N.C.; and a niece, Sheila Stallings of Harrellsville, N.C.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a special brother, Carter Eure.
A celebration service of Mrs. Forehand’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Murfreesboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Canipe officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home, 402 E. High St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Chowan University or the Elizabeth Sewell Parker Library.
