To the Editor:

I have heard a lot of negative comments about our hometown hospital over the years.

But, I recently had outpatient surgery at Southampton Memorial Hospital and was very impressed with everyone, from admissions right on through the entire procedure.

I especially appreciated the care and kindness shown by the doctors and nurses. I can’t express how much they comforted me both going into the surgery and in recovery. I’m very proud to have a facility where I can get such good care right across the street. To the staff at SMH: “Thank You.”
