Dear Editor:

On behalf of the mayor, Town Council and the 100th Anniversary Celebration Committee of the town of Ivor, I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one that contributed to our celebration.

The anniversary committee worked very hard and spent many long and tireless hours preparing for this event to ensure that this day would be remembered by all for many years to come.

I would like to especially thank all of the local businesses who generously gave monetary contributions and made this event possible. Without their contributions, this event would not have been made possible.

Special thanks to all of the volunteers who assisted with the event, parade participants and the craft vendors as well as the food vendors who worked so hard to make this day special.

I would also like to thank and commend The Tidewater News and its staff for the excellent job that they did in covering our celebration.

This celebration was a great success due to the teamwork and efforts of many people.

Thanks to each and everyone for your support.
