Cleveland Lewis
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Cleveland Lewis, a native of Hertford County, died Oct. 10, 2008.
Mr. Lewis was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church and he was a farmer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Lewis of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Lewis and Chris Grant of Murfreesboro; one brothers, Johnny Lewis of Ahoskie, N.C.; four sisters, Virgie Lewis of Philadelphia, Pa., Josephine Pope of Greensboro, N.C., Alice Murphy of Como, N.C. and Essie Sturdiant of Richmond; and three grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hunter’s Funeral Home Chapel, Murfreesboro, by the Rev. Elliott Hill.
Burial will be in Carver Park Cemetery.
