Eunice B. Rice
BOYKINS—Eunice Banty Rice, 89, died Oct . 14, 2008.
She was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late Vernon Sinclair and Mamie Edwards Banty.
Mrs. Rice was predeceased by three husbands, Marvin L. Vick, Moncure Story and James E. Rice.
She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice V. Edwards of Courtland and Mary Betty White of Bracy; three step-children, Julie Thompson of Mechanicsville, Jimmy Rice of Emporia, and Jerry Rice of Boykins; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Beechwood Cemetery with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Boykins chapel of Wright Funeral Home and suggests memorials be made to Boykins Fire and Rescue Squad or Boykins Baptist Church.
